The game begins with your customised character being recruited by Gilly to stop a totalitarian corporation from shuttingdown his arcade. The corporation does this by installing viruses into the games in the arcade so naturally you fight them by jacking into the game and shooting down the viruses yourself. It’s not terribly complex but it’s as good an excuse as any to run through procedurally generated dungeons for a few dozen hours.
